While my wife is being massaged and while I'm thinking of what to write in our blog, I happen to watch Bandila, the pre-midnight news program of ABS-CBN reporting about their campaign entitled "Boto Mo, Ipatrol Mo - Ako ang Simula" and the open forum of the Philippine presidentiables in Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU).

Para akong sirang plaka in sharing the beauty of taking charge of our future [Ako ang Simula] instead of letting other people [politicians included] create it for us as that is 100% impossible because no one man can make every single Filipino agree to one thing as we all have our own beliefs and point-of-views on different matters. That being said, a politician can only do what he/she thinks is right for the "majority" of the citizens dahil kahit na anong decision pa ang gawin ng isang politiko o isang tao, palaging may mag-o-oppose dito. And if people are looking for someone who can provide all the needs of every single human being, then there's no such man.

That's why I say that taking charge of your personal life is a more logical way of improving oneself rather than depending on the government to improve your life because the government may take a different direction which would not improve your welfare. But that doesn't mean bulok na ang government. It simply mean [if the politician really thought about his action deeply] that the government's decision is favoring what they think is best for every one. Evidences of this statement are the BPO jobs provided by the government in talking to foreign investors, jobs abroad in talking to foreign employers, etc.

If Filipino voters in the "Ako ang Simula Movement" are looking for one president that would save every single Filipino here and abroad, then you're blindly looking for one. Whoever you vote [Noli, Mar, Chiz, Loren, Erap, Ed, Manny, not even you, me or other Filipinos who think it's easy to be the president], they will have oppositions who believe that the politician is not doing good in his/her position. The job of the president is to assess problems to be solved and execute the solutions he/she thinks will solve the problems for the benefit of NOT every Juan but the majority of the Filipino.

My criteria of who to vote for president or any other politician should I vote this coming election is simple... I don't buy fancy advertisements [at least not to politicians], I don't buy fancy and flowery words, I will certainly not buy those who says they will not commit corruption because the salary of a president is only less than P100,000.00 per month as opposed to the hundreds of millions invested during the campaign [P100,000.00 per month X 12 months X 6 years = P7.2M only versus investing P100M for a campaign], I certainly don't buy who do nothing but criticize others instead of see the positive side of things, I even don't buy educational attainment... For me, I'll vote the person who can admit his/her mistakes, rectify those mistakes in a fast manner, able to properly assess/weigh solutions to a problem, open to the public especially the financials [tax] and be able to execute firmly what he/she thinks is right to the majority even if it means having oppositions.
